1. Purpose
These Terms of Sale govern the purchase and use of website templates and related installation/customization services provided by The Showcase Studio (“we”, “us”) through our website theshowcase.studio. By placing an order, you (“you”, “the client”) agree to be bound by these terms.
2. Nature of the product & service
The Showcase Studio sells non-exclusive WordPress website templates combined with a turnkey installation and customization service.
Our offer is not a fully custom web design project, but an adaptation of an existing template to your brand and content, within the limits described on each product page.
3. Ordering process
You select a template and complete your purchase on our website.
After payment, we send you a form to collect your brand assets, content and technical access details (domain, hosting and/or WordPress login).
Once we have received all required elements, we schedule the installation and customization of your site.
At the end of the process, we present the website for your review and make minor adjustments if necessary, within the agreed scope.
Optional: mention language / written communication by email.
4. Price & payment
All prices are shown in euros and are inclusive/exclusive of applicable taxes, as indicated at checkout.
Payment is due in full at the time of order. We do not start any work until payment has been received.
The price shown on the product page includes the template license and the associated installation/customization service as described, but does not include your domain name, hosting, third-party plugin licenses or any additional development or design work beyond the template.
5. Scope of customization
For each template, the product page specifies what is included (number of pages adapted, type of customization, etc.).
Unless explicitly stated otherwise, our standard customization includes:
Installation of the template on one WordPress website (one domain).
Setup of the main pages listed on the product page (e.g. home, about, services/collections, portfolio, contact).
Application of your logo, brand colors and font choices within the limits of the template.
Insertion of your provided texts and images into the existing layouts.
Any change that significantly alters the structure, layout or functionality of the template (new page types, new sections, custom features, etc.) is considered additional work and will be subject to a separate quote.
6. Client responsibilities
You are responsible for:
Purchasing and configuring your own domain name and hosting.
Providing accurate and complete content (texts, images, legal pages, etc.) in a usable format.
Granting us the necessary temporary access to your hosting/WordPress environment to carry out the installation.
You guarantee that you hold the rights to all content you provide, and that it does not infringe any third-party rights.
7. Timeline & delays
We aim to install and customize your website within the indicative timeline shown on the product page (within 2-3 business weeks) after receiving all required content and access from you.
This timeline is an estimate and may vary depending on our workload and the complexity of your content. We will inform you if we expect any significant delay.
If you delay in providing content or access, the delivery date will be postponed accordingly. We cannot be held responsible for delays caused by late or incomplete information.
8. Revisions & additional work
Each installation includes one round of minor adjustments (text tweaks, image swaps, small layout refinements) after the first presentation of the site.
Any additional revision beyond this, or any request that significantly modifies the design, structure or functionality of the template, will be considered additional work and may be charged separately, after your approval of an estimate.
9. Intellectual property & license
We retain all rights to the original template design and underlying files.
Upon full payment, you receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the chosen template for one website (one domain) for your own business or portfolio.
You own all content you provide (texts, logo, images created by you, etc.). You are responsible for backing up your site and files after delivery.
10. Refunds & cancellations
Because our templates are digital products combined with a personalized service, all sales are final once work has started (for example, once we have installed the template on your site or begun customization).
If you wish to cancel before we start any work, contact us as soon as possible. We reserve the right to retain part of the amount paid to cover administrative and payment processing costs.
11. Technical environment & third-party services
Your website runs on WordPress and uses third-party tools such as Elementor (free version) and various plugins. While we select tools we believe to be reliable, we are not responsible for:
Outages or issues caused by your hosting provider, domain registrar or email service.
Changes made by you or third parties after delivery.
Updates to WordPress, themes or plugins performed without proper testing or backup.
We cannot guarantee compatibility with every plugin, browser or device, but we design and test for modern, commonly used environments.
12. Liability & governing law
Our liability under these terms is limited to the amount you paid for the template and associated service. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses such as loss of revenue, opportunities or data.
These Terms of Sale are governed by the laws of France. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with your purchase will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Paris, France.
